The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

christ renews his parish

finds documents containing 'christ' or 'renews' or 'his' or 'parish'

christ or renews or his or parish

same as above

christ and renews and his and parish

finds documents containing 'christ' and 'renews' and 'his' and 'parish'

christ not renews

finds documents containing 'christ' but not 'renews'

(renews not parish) and christ

finds documents containing 'christ', plus 'renews' but not 'parish'
