Because it is an integral part of the
educational ministry of St. Jude Parish, St. Jude Catholic School is heavily
subsidized by the Sunday contributions of St. Jude parishioners. All parishioners
are urged to consider the principles of Stewardship in making their contributions.
Tuition and fees paid by school parents cover approximately 40% of the actual cost.
Non-member and non-contributing members pay the entire cost of their children's
education. For those contributing parishioners who cannot afford tuition and need
financial assistance for children who are in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, a
tuition-assistance program is available based on need. In addition, families with
three or more children in Catholic Education can apply for assistance from the Large
Family Tuition Fund through the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend.
Parents are asked each year to indicate
whether they want to be considered contributing and practicing members of St. Jude
Parish. Tuition is due on the 5th or 20th of each month over a 10-month period.
Overdue payments will incur a late fee. Parents are invited to choose a payment
method (monthly, quarterly, semester, or annual) which best suits their needs.
